[vox-tech] Dumb question re: Linux kernel and multiple CPUs?

Sorry, gang, but I have to ask - will the current 64-bit Linux kernel
and associated applications take advantage of dual CPUs?  Quad CPUs?

Newegg has a nice deal on an i7 quad-core CPU and also 6 GB of
Corsair high-performance RAM for $225.  Thought it might be a good
time for an upgrade.
