Sorry for the delay (it's been, um, busy lately to say the least)

1) plug in the usb dongle.
2) tail /var/log/messages for the driver it installed.
3) search in /lib/modules/KERNELVERSION for DRIVERNAME.so
4) rm -f it
5) just kidding.  mv it to DRIVERNAME.so.nouseme
