Try something like.....

mencoder tv:// -tv driver=3Dv4l:input=3D1:norm=3DNTSC:width=3D640:height=3D=
480 -vop=20
pp=3Dfd/al -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=3Dmpeg4:vbitrate=3D700:keyint=3D100=
 -oac=20
mp3lame -lameopts aq=3D9:cbr:br=3D128

This will deinterlace and record video from my card's composite input,=20
however I cannot seem to figure out how to get it to record audio, at lea=
st=20
on my card, which simply passes audio through to the sound card via line =
in.
