deletion of video modes is NOT an error.  it's considered information.

error == (EE)
info  == (II)

when a video mode is deleted, it's informational and will always give
you a reason.   for instance:

(II)  videocard: Not using default mode "9999x999"  (hsync out of range)


just to make sure we're on the same page, what "log file" are you
referring to when you say you don't see any errors in "the log file"?

even the best configured X system is going to have SOME kind of error.
