My RH 9.0 box exports 4 trees. The RH 8.0 and 7.2
boxes mount the 4 trees.

----- /etc/exports from RH 9.0 box

192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,sync)
/home/ja/bin
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,sync)

/home/ja/etc
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,sync)
/home/ja/temp
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,sync)

[mind the wrap]

----- part of /etc/fstab from RH 8.0 box

There's been no apparent problem with this.

Yes!

Generally no.

On two occasions my wife somehow got an
OpenOffice banner in the middle of her screen.
She's not sure what preceeded that. And she
could not get rid of it within X.

On both occasions she got out of X, logged off,
logged back in, started X, and had no apparent
problems.

Thanks for all the help,
Jim
