[vox-tech] Optimum memory for a Linux workstation?

With redhat-9, mozilla, bunch of gnome-terminals, occasional GIMP use,
multiple desktops, etc.  I definitely notice a big difference between
256 MB's and 512 MB's.  IMO definitely worth the cost of an upgrade.

If not money limited, for a new machine I'd consider 1GB of ram,
assuming it's going to last at least 3 years.  Not that it is needed
today, but in general I find 512 MB's today about as useful, fast, and
consistent as 256 MB's was 3 years ago.
