That's assuming your Windows drive uses FAT32 or FAT16 (Win95, 98, Me); 
if you're using NTFS (likely with NT, 2000, XP, I think), support is not 
as good, and this may not be advisable.  You'd also have to pass the 
correct "-t xxxx" option.
