Woah! I just checked my glxinfo output. Here are a couple of lines:

name of display: :0.0
display: :0  screen: 0
direct rendering: No
server glx vendor string: Brian Paul
server glx version string: 1.4 Mesa 5.0.1
[...]

So, I bet it shouldn't say "direct rendering: No", huh?

Looking at /var/log/XFree86.0.log, I find the following line:

(=3D=3D) TDFX(0): Direct rendering enabled

So, what gives?
