[vox-tech] PEAR vs ADOdb ?

i am looking into starting up a small web application project, and i
have received the suggestion (and i agree) that i should try to keep
it database independent as much as possible.

so i am looking for experiences people have had using ADOdb or PEAR
with PHP to accomplish this, also maybe even a comparison of the two.
