Since there's been talk about ATI boards, I thought this
message would be of interest. This came across on the XFree86
xpert mailing list back last September. I am really happy
about ATI's current stand with their cards and Linux.

A patch was submitted today to XFree86 for the Radeon 8500, 7500 and
Mobility Radeon 7500. This support dual-head via Xinerama.

I have documentation and a test driver for these boards and could add
support, but judging from recent history in the ati driver, ATI seems to
be adding support for things themselves. Can anyone comment on this?
Should I bother with adding support or just wait until ATI does it?
