[vox-tech] Players on Linux

I *think* xmms can do streaming and read the media files for stream
reading often served by some sites. Mp3.com even offered a setup for
making xmms work with your web browser in linux, and the setup often works
on other sites that serve ausio content in formats recognized and set to
use xmms.

as for mp3 players, I like console based mp3blaster, but it is not quite a
web client app as the work for start/stop/control was not designed to work
so well.

Someone else was writing about mplayer for linux (may not be legal in US),
and then there is the impure crossover plugin for video and audio.
