[vox-tech] glib bumped up to 1.3

libglib 1.3 has made it to debian testing. i looked through the
changelogs, and a few changes will break your program -- small stuff,
though. stuff like renaming g_printfa to g_printf_append and a slightly
changed prototype for g_string escape functions. nothing too major.
looks like a lot of nice things have happened for glib, especially in
the area of unicode and the window ports. lots of extra nice functions.
you can now do file operations using glib data types, rather than doing
fileops with C data types and converting them to glib types.
also, every entry in the changelog (they're up to 1.3.11) says
"improved documentation". :) :) :) :) :) :) i'm going to take a look
now. i noticed that they shaved off the glib documention from gtk.
glib now has its own doc branch, independent of widgets and whatnot.
