While I agree with you, be aware, that is the latest "politically correct"
spin from the Software Manufacturers organizations to try and make it
look like Open Source is a bunch of facist zealots. It's the best they
can hope for to make their position look like they're supporting the
best interests of the state. Of course it's disingenuous... It's marketing
and spin, but, that's what politics is all about. We need to get better
at this, too, if we are going to make headway. I'd like to see us avoid
being disingenuous, but, we have to remember that the proprietary software
community is relatively limited on ethics, and, tends to have a larger
marketing budget.
