size=3>Primary Job Responsibilities: <BR><BR>Provide an oversight for
Linux/U-Boot code submitted by AMCC to Open Source <BR>community. Develop
relationships with the U-Boot and Linux kernel community.<BR>Needs to posess
wide experience in Linux kernel development, preferably on
PowerPC<BR>processors. Deep understanding of Open Source project
philosophy.<BR>Knowledge of bootloaders and Jtag debuggers<BR>Education
Requirement or Equivalent: <BR><BR><U><STRONG>Education Requirement or
Equivalent:</STRONG></U> <BR><BR>BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,
or Computer Engineering required, MS preferred.<BR><BR><B><U>Experience
Requirement:</U></B><BR><BR>10 years firmware development experience with BS, 8
years firmware development experience with MS.<BR><BR><BR><B><U>Special Skills
or Knowledge Required:</U></B><BR><BR>•Extensive programming in C and C++, is
required<BR>•Candidate must have an excellent computer science background and
demonstrated strength in designing efficient firmware code<BR>•Solid background
in software and firmware development, a demonstrated ability to lead development
projects and deliver products on time with good quality<BR>•In-depth knowledge
and hands-on experience with storage protocols is required
(SAS/SATA/FC)<BR>•Excellent understanding of multi-tasking operating systems and
experience using ThreadX, u-VelOSity or other commercial real time operating
systems is required<BR>•In-depth knowledge and experience with the development
of storage products is required<BR>•Must be able to work with ASIC and software
engineers in a small team environment<BR>•Must be self-motivated with excellent
problem solving skills, and have good written and verbal communication
skills<BR>•Experience with PowerPC or other 32-bit RISC micro-controllers is
preferred.<BR>•Overall knowledge of the storage industry is a
