Linux SQA/Test Engineer;
Engineering Dept., Sunnyvale, CA
Regular, Full-time
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Design and execute performance testing on AMCC Power PC family of processors.
Create an automated framework to run performance tests using Linux environment.
Benchmark peripherals performance such as PCIe, DMA, SRIO, SATA, Ethernet.
Benchmark applications such as RAID, NAS, IPSec, IPv4 forwarding, TCP/IP offload,
L2 bridging, etc. Run standard benchmarks such as Dhrystone and LMBench, IOZone,
IOmeter, Netbench, EEMBC etc.
Experience Requirement:
This position is for integration, test and release engineer, responsible for code integration
and QA for new releases, process automation and source control management.
* Knowledge of U-Boot and Linux kernel distributions
* Knowledge of build tools(gccc, linker etc)
* Ability to analyze, debug and locate failures
* Ability to build different U-Boot/Linux kernel configurations and test them on embedded
platforms
* Ability to find the appropriate Linux Open Source modules and drivers, integrate them
into AMCC code base and test on different AMCC validation and evaluation hardware
platforms
* Experience with integration and testing of peripherals such as PCIe, USB, SATA, SRIO,
Ethernet, UART etc.
* Software build and release background with strong scripted build and test automation
and reporting skills.
* Software configuration management tools such as Perforce, CVS, or ClearCase,
with multi-site code versioning experience
* Ability to create and work with Makefiles and Autotools (autoconf, automake etc)
environments
* Self-motivated and fast learner
Experience with using traffic generators such as IXIA and bus exersizers and anayzers
is a plus.
Must have deep knowledge of networking, systems company expereience is a plus."
Education Requirement or Equivalent:
Bachelor's degree.
