Manager of Operations and Product Delivery

Overview: Xerasys, Inc. is an early stage company providing customers in 
the insurance and capital markets with dynamic, web-based updates of 
their portfolio-level exposure to natural hazard risk.

The Opportunity: Xerasys will hire a part-time Manager of Operations and 
Product Delivery to drive the development and delivery of a suite of 
web-based software products and information to a growing base of 
customers. The position will potentially grow into a full-time position 
within the next six months. The Manager of Operations and Product 
Delivery will report directly to the President and CEO.

The Job Description: The Manager of Operations and Product Delivery will 
build, lead and execute the Company’s operations and product delivery 
strategy. Primary responsibilities include:

1. Defining product strategies, roadmaps and delivery plans based on 
opportunities identified by the management team;

2. Overseeing the development and delivery of all software development 
projects;

3. Proactively recommending and implementing courses of action to 
maintain competitiveness, system stability, security, scalability and 
reliability;

4. Engaging, managing and motivating a team of internal and external 
developers;

5. Participating in senior management discussions and decisions in a 
rapidly growing entrepreneurial environment.

Desired Qualifications

- Demonstrated strong professional achievement, with a minimum 5 years 
experience in product development, project management and software 
engineering;

- Experience building and managing a software team in a start-up 
environment;

- Demonstrated ability to manage software development processes and 
lifecycles;

- Demonstrated ability to design content delivery for front- and 
back-end solutions;

- Expert knowledge of Linux operating environments;

- Expert knowledge of web application architecture, database programming 
(such as mySQL), and web development technologies (such as Javascript, 
PHP and Python).
