My client is looking for very knowledgeable C/C++ developers with
excellent network and Linux low level coding skills. You must be capable
of managing your time well and working efficiently without close
supervision. You place a high value on automated testing and software
quality. You have experience using development tools such as Bugzilla
and SVN to work in a team environment.
* As a member of our application integration team, you will work
with the engineering team of our application partners to integrate their
technology onto our platform. Especially, you will be responsible for
discussion with our partners engineering team, key design decisions on
integration methods, and implementation of those decisions.
* You will be expected to come up to speed quickly on difficult
problems, become a significant contributor to a hard-working team, and
to take pride in your work. We have high expectations, and are looking
for engineers with experience in a wide range of areas.
* This is not an entry-level position; remuneration will be based
on experience
* Minimum of 3 years experience in C/C++ development on high
performance network applications
* Strong interest in Computer Science: software engineering,
algorithm and data structures, programming languages and compilers.
* Personal focus on code quality
* Experience developing object-oriented code in C or C++
* Extensive knowledge of the inner working of an operating systems
including threading, socket IO and file systems
* Experience working in a GNU/Linux development environment using
GCC and common Unix tools
* Working knowledge of networking technologies, including security
and encryption on the Internet, and basic networking concepts
* Familiar with: C programming, GCC, SVN/CVS, Bugzilla, Linux,
SMTP, HTTP, DNS, MTA
* Able to work independently on projects, to effectively manage
time and schedules and also to collaborate as a strong team member.
