I live in Portland, Oregon. I'm looking for a Rails contractor to
take over my work with a company in Citrus Heights. Rails experience
is not a strict requirement, but they need someone local enough to be
able to come in for meetings.
Since Sacramento doesn't seem to have its own Ruby Brigade, I inquired
on the Portland list, and someone suggested I contact your group for
further leads. If you'd be so kind as to forward this to any of your
appropriate lists, I'd appreciate it!

There doesn't seem to be much of an organized Ruby presence in
Sacramento (all I could find was 4 people on meetup), but perhaps one
of you fine folks knows a good Rails developer -- or even someone
who'd be able to learn Rails quickly -- looking for a contract gig?
I've been working part-time on a Rails app while in school. However,
I'll be graduating this summer, I'm tired of working alone, and I'm
none too keen on living in Sacramento ever again. All of which means
I'll need to hand off support and maintenance (S&M?) for this app so I
can re-enter the job market unencumbered.
The app is a timecard entry system for our tutors, with some billing
features and map integration planned. VB/VBA and MS Access experience
are also quite helpful, as the existing reports are in Access and the
maps will likely come from MapPoint. Contact me at this address or
<samlg at tacautism.com> for further info. [Please don't get clever with
'whois' and call my boss; he'll just refer you to me anyway. (= ]
