 Statement of Work (SOW) 
  
Position Title:  IT Systems Software Analyst 
Est. Start Date: ASAP 
Est. Duration of 1st. stage: 5 months 
Location:  West Palm Beach, Florida.  On location at the Client’s site 100%
of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.

  
Description: 
  
The objective of this Work Order is to provide a Technical Business Analyst
to the project who is able to: 
a) Provide overall technical guidance for the design and development efforts

b) Drive the testing and acceptance of the Survey Data and Retrieval
Application (SDERA) and the Vertical Datum Conversion Application (VDCA)

c) Act as the liaison to the user community on technical subject matter 
The Consultant will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of
the development effort, maintaining the functional business requirements,
the Software Requirements Specifications, and overseeing the testing of the
SDERA and VDCA products. 

It is expected that this will involve activities such as, but not
necessarily limited to: 
• Work closely with the business units to ensure requirements are clearly
captured and implemented 
• Escalate project issues to Vertical Datum IT PM 
• Report on a daily basis to Vertical Datum IT PM 
• Create weekly status reports to the Vertical Datum IT PM 
• Using Use Cases manage the business requirements which will be required
for testing 
• To assist the Vertical Datum Upgrade PM in reviewing appropriate technical
documentation relating to the project 
• To assist the Vertical Datum Upgrade PM in other assigned tasks

question with your skill level on a scale from 1 to 5 (highest), followed by
the number of years of experience with that skill, and the last time you

1) at least 8 years of documented and recent IT Technical Business Analyst
experience: 
2) in-depth knowledge of the Vertical Datum, surveying, and an understanding
of the business processes: 
3) High level proficiency in MS Office products, especially Word and Visio: 
4) The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in
writing, to a wide variety of staff and management levels:

5) Minimally 3 years of experience in writing and interpreting use cases; 
6) Managing requirements to ensure that designs and implementation meet
customer requirements 
7) Ability to translate technical issues into business language to
communicate with users 
8) Ability to lead iterative development efforts, specifically within the
Java/Struts environment: 
9) Previous proven technical leadership of a large software development
project 
10) Ability to collaborate with the architecture team
