A small, well funded, publicly held company producing communications produc=

phase. This Software Engineer will be developing all of the web sections o=
f the software, including web-based user interfaces, and web services, usin=
g Java, as well as SOAP and AJAX for web services. They are developing und=
er Solaris and LINUX. They also use ASR, JAVE/J2EE, XML, and HTTP. This i=
s a smaller environment, with friendly, seasoned professionals. The Direct=
or of Engineering here does not know the market for Web Developers, and wou=
ld not set a limit on salary at this time. I imagine $70,000 to $100,000 i=
s in the hiring range. I will submit people with higher requirements. Thi=
s company offers a fine benefits package, which includes 401 (k), tuition a=
id, bereavement leave, and more. In addition, there is a year-end bonus p=
lan, which can pay out an additional $500 to $5,000, based on company profi=
tability. The requirements here include three or more years of Java develo=
pment experience, some of which under UNIX, knowledge of SOAP, and AJAX web=
services, coupled with a BSCS degree. They have given tests here in the p=
ast to verify technical proficiency. Development experience in the communi=
cations industry is strongly preferred, but not necessary. For more inform=
