Senior PHP Developer | New York, NY | 80-105k   

My client provides Branding, Design, Information Architecture, and
Engineering services for the Web. They build websites from brand to
launch, redesign to reflect new business goals, or fit existing sites
with a custom Content Management System.

They regularly develop for both Microsoft and Unix/Linux platforms, and
are versed in all current front-end and back-end Web technologies.

The Senior Web Developer position is a combination of a management and
hands-on technical position. The Senior Web Developer reports to the
Vice President / Director of Operations. As a senior level position, the
Senior Web Developer should exhibit superb leadership and communication
skills, creative problem-solving skills and novel approaches to
technical challenges.


*PHP and MySQL experience 
*Microsoft .NET, classic ASP, and SQL Server experience (C# a plus, but
not required) 
*At least some sort of awareness of XHTML, JavaScript, Flash, and AJAX 
*XML and XSL experience 

Management duties include:
.Managing a small team of junior engineers (team might include other
programmers and Flash developers), including delegation of specific jobs
and tasks .Ownership of day-to-day development for client and internal
projects .Defining and maintaining a disciplined development process and
policies, including best practices, documentation, version control, and
QA methodologies .Authoring specification documents and data models 
.Managing relationships with technical partners and vendors, such as
hosting companies, aggregators, fulfillment partners, etc. .Client
contact for matters involving technical issues

Hands-on duties include:
.Developing application architecture, algorithms, and classes 
.Various levels of hands-on programming, as necessitated by workload and
abilities of junior programmers 

Other duties include:
.Ongoing R&D
.Product development
.Introduction of new technologies

Client and internal projects include:
.Developing marketing campaigns for the Web 
.Developing internal systems and tools
.Developing marketing campaigns for mobile devices, especially
message-based campaigns .Developing location-aware mobile applications
.Designing premium-SMS and ad-supported mobile channels
  
Technical abilities should include:
.Developing for PHP, MySQL and Apache
.Developing for .NET, classic ASP, and SQL Server
.Good working knowledge and experience with front-end technologies like
XHTML, JavaScript, Flash, and AJAX .Experience working with XML and XSL
.Equal comfort working in both Linux and Windows environments
