Linux Test Engineer
 
Menlo Park CA
 
Full-time
 
Very long term contract (Customer is currently on a hiring freeze) 
 
 
 
The contractor supporting this project will be required to do the following:
- Author test plans based on existing development plans for Linux device
drivers. - Author tests against the test plan(s). - Invoke, record, and
report test results. - Develop regression automation of tests. - Work with
developers to resolve bugs uncovered during the course of testing.
 
 
 
The contractor supporting this project will be required to author test
plans, author application-level tests of Linux device drivers and work with
developers to record and resolve bugs. Should be familiar with Linux device
drivers and have a background dealing with release procedures and defect
tracking. The contractor supporting this project should be very familiar
with: - Linux kernel device drivers - Linux application authoring - C
language - Perl or shell scripts The following skills are desired but not
required: - Embedded systems (e.g. MIPS, ARM, PowerPC) - Linux kernel
internals - MIPS architecture - Bugzilla
