Description: DESCRIPTION:   

  The Systems Administrator provides
        systems, software and Hardware support to the DreamWorks
        Animation company. This includes supporting artists,
        production management, engineering and overhead staff. 

Details: Tasks include the building, installing, maintaining, and
        troubleshooting of Linux and Windows desktops and laptops.
        Administration of user accounts, installation of software  
        and licenses, and debugging 3rd party software and in-house
        applications are also a part of this job.   

  This is a
        demanding role supporting the needs of many departments and
        concurrent projects in a fast paced production environment.
        This position requires excellent verbal and written
        communication skills, strong customer service focus, ability
        work in a team as well as   independently, ability to learn on
        the fly, ability to follow procedures, and ability to suggest
        improvements to existing procedures   as appropriate.     

 
        RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  o Production support via phones,
        email, and at the user's desk 
  o Communicate status via
        email, phone, and through on-line ticket system 
  o Manage
        UNIX and Windows accounts for login and email 
  o Develop and
        document tools/procedures for team and Digital Operations 
  o
        Install and maintain 3rd party software and licensing 
  o
        Ability to lift 50+ pound computer equipment for system setups
        as necessary 
  o Analyze issues and create solutions for HW
        and SW problems 
  o Perform daily & weekly preventative
        maintenance procedures 
  o Maintain positive customer service
        attitude 

Special Requirements: o Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related
        field 
  o Strong customer service skills 
  o Prior
        UNIX/Linux/Windows experience is a must 
  o Systems
        administration experience a plus 
  o Excellent verbal and
        written communication skills 
  o Ability to learn quickly and
        work in a fast paced environment 
  o Scripting experience
        (Perl, VBS, csh, etc.) 

Salary Range: dependent on experience
