Position Type: Full-Time Permanent
MuSecurity is developing a new category of solutions, called Security
Analyzers, to characterize, quantify and proactively improve security.
Using Security Analyzers, it is possible to detect unknown and known
vulnerabilities in applications and systems by methodically attacking
target systems to uncover security flaws; provide complete feedback for
potential fixes; compare the relative robustness of different products
to malicious attacks; and drive improvement in product security through
quantifiable metrics.
MuSecurity has a unique opportunity for an experienced QA engineer. As
a core member of the engineering team, you'll be working with the key
developers of open source projects such as Ethereal and tcprelay. You
will be contributing to the development of a truly unique family of
products currently being used by QA and Security engineers like
yourself at a growing number of leading Networking and Security
companies. MuSecurity uses Linux in its products and its infrastructure
and engineers usually have Mac laptops running Mac OS X 10.4.
As a member of the QA team, you will be responsible for all aspects of
product validation including;
- Test case design
- Automation of regression, scalability and performance tests
- Filing and tracking defects found during QA process, as well as
Customer reported issues
- Working as a core member of the engineering team to resolve issues
- Providing feedback on product features and usability
- Maintaining a QA lab consisting of routers, firewalls, and
application servers
Requirements:
- 3-6 years QA or software development experience
- Experience in writing and executing test plans
- Experience in testing networking or security products
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix and a variety of open source tools
- Fluency in Perl, SQL
- Experience in Java, Junit, Ant
- Creative problem solver
- Careful attention to detail
- Independent, self-motivated team player
