Department Description:

The Infrastructure Systems Development (ISD) group is an integral part
of Oracle product development life cycle. ISD creates tools for
automating the complex process of defining, building, packaging,
templating, and distributing bug fixes, new functionality, and new
product releases to Oracle developers and customers. The system has
over 35,000 internal users throughout development, support, and
consulting and more than 300,000 external users throughout the world.
Each week, the system distributes over 12 Terrabytes of download data
to customers via the Internet.

Brief Description:

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in
implementing, maintaining, and performance tuning of Oracle databases.
Also help in tasks associated with the developing, debugging or
designing of software applications. Provide technical leadership to
other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest
changes to existing software architecture to meet changing
requirements.

Detailed Description:

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in
defining and developing software for tasks associated with the
developing, debugging or designing of software applications or
operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software
developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing
software architecture to meet changing requirements.

Job Requirements:

Duties and tasks are varied and complex requiring independent
judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project
lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. Preferred
Qualifications: BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to
functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related
experience.

Additional Details

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Implement, design, develop, deploy, maintain Oracle Databases and
infrastructure tools.
- Further automate and enhance the infrastructure tools.
- Tune the performance of databases
- Interact with a global development organization
- Participate in the entire product life cycle: requirements, design,
implementation, testing, release, maintenance, and support

Job Requirements :

Work is non-routine and very challenging, involving the
application of advanced technical/business skills in area of
specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team
member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

1. Implementation knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, RAC and Stream Replication.
2. Backup/Recovery using RMAN.
3. Experience in Oracle database performance tuning.
4. Installation and upgrades from one Oracle database release to
another release.
5. SQL, PLSQL, shell and perl scripting.
6. Experience in managing high critical production databases.
7. Working knowledge of above on Linux and Unix based environments.
