Hi Everybody,
How does it look for an installfest?
Inquiring minds want to know. Also,
I made up a draft of an advertising
flier. Anybody who would like to
comment - give me some guidance -
just let me know.
Thanks,

On December 3rd, 2006, I asked you to propose a date so I could do the
necessary work in mid-December. You never got back to me.

I still need a proposed date. Without it, I am completely stuck.

Are you sure? Somebody asked me to do some advertising
so the group might get some folks wanting Linux.
The date is supposed to be Sat or Sun the third
weekend of the month, isn't it?

Well, Sat or Sun the third weekend of the
month, Saturday would be better for me,
either is ok, we need to fix it now
and get Bill K. to update LUGOD website.
Any other comments?

Help advertising would be great, yes.

Lately, we've scheduled for the 3rd Sat of the month.
However, it's whatever works for the coordinator(s) and volunteers.
Third Sat. of this month would land it on: Saturday, January 20th.
The time to advertise an event on that date is: NOW!

We've already had 1 RSVP for "whenever the next one will be" (someone with
wifi trouble), and I just suggested to Jimbo on vox-tech that he bring
his gaming rig to the next IF to get Linux installed and 3D working. :)
So, we already potentially have two customers. Advertising ASAP would
only help increase, esp. since it's a new quarter at UC Davis...
Coordinators - do you need someone to help run the show this month?
(Cc'ing to vox-if to get their immediate attention.)

Let's assume we pick the 20th. Can we get a list of people willing
to volunteer, just so we know it'll be more than 1 or 2 people trying
to run the event? :)
I'm ready to advertise an IF ASAP.
Thanks,

I'm there.
I'll inquire CS Club people this time - they seem interested. Also,
maybe Steve or Chris Takemura would be willing to stumble in around
noon. Also, by now I know that if I nag Seth enough he's just magically
show up, even if he doesn't say anything.

Call me (818 429 3772) and I will advertise tomorrow (TUESDAY). I can
push a flier out for tomorrow too (making it tonight). I am posting
fliers for a roommate on campus, and I'll just take care of the
installfest too.

Hello Everyone
There has been 8 RSVPs so far. This is typically more then the usual
suspects that show up can handle. I will try to stagger the installees
accordingly, but if you can, please try and make it there on Saturday.
Thanks!

wondering whether this means you plan on bringing two separate physical
computers, or, if you RSVP'd two times for the same computers. Thanks.
