Glad to hear your Linux install is working for you.

If you're sure Linux can communicate with your modem, and your trouble 
is just dialing your internet provider, you are better off getting help 
through the vox-tech mailing list (http://www.lugod.org/mailinglists/). 
    I don't think there is any way for us to dial out from the 
installfest room.
