LUGOD Members and Friends,

This month's topic is a brief foray into the world of blockchain
technology. LUGOD Secretary Ted Sternberg will talk about
cryptocurrencies -- what they are, and what they're good for. He'll
engage the audience in a hands-on demonstration of a very simple
cryptocurrency, and then move on to the more complex Blockchain system
that underlies Bitcoin.
