The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD) will be holding the following meeting:
Monday
June 19, 2017
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Presentation:
"Using LaTeX Typesetting Tools to Create Presentations and Exams"
Presented by:
Brian Lavender
Description:
LaTeX (pronounced la-tek or lay-tek) is a powerful and flexible
typesetting system used in professional, technical, and academic
environments to produce production-quality documents. LaTeX allows
authors to focus on content rather than formatting, by using a
markup-style language in the text editor of his or her choice.
In this presentation, Brian Lavender, an adjunct professor at American
River College, will demonstrate how to use LaTeX and related tools
to create professional-quality slide presentations and exams that are
flexible and easy to update.
This meeting will be held at:
Yolo County Public Library, Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch
Blanchard Community Meeting Room
315 E 14th Street
Davis, CA 95616
