The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD) will be holding the following meeting:

Presentation:
Adrian, a Linux-based 'FIRST Robotics Competition' Robot
presented by Wesley Aptekar-Cassels, Citrus Circuits (FRC Team 1678)
Hear about how the open source Linux operating system is used by
Citrus Circuits (FIRST robotics team 1678), both on and off the
robot. This talk will cover the both embedded Linux system that runs
the robot and the software that we write to control it, as well as
explaining the FIRST Robotics Competition in general.
Our guest speaker should be able to bring "Adrian", their latest
robot, to this meeting for a demo!
About the Citrus Circuits:
Citrus Circuits, Team 1678, <http://www.citruscircuits.org/> is a
FIRST Robotics Competition team <http://www.firstinspires.org/> founded
in 2004 at Da Vinci Charter Academy in Davis, and which has since
expanded to included students from Davis Senior High School, and
Holmes, Emerson, and Harper Junior High Schools. In 2015 they took
home the top prize at the FIRST Robotics world championships.
