Presentation:
"The Digital Tipping Point": it's all about you (LUGs)
Presented by:
Christian Einfeldt, Producer
The "Digital Tipping Point" is a film project about the big changes
that open source software will bring to our world. Like the printing
press before it, open source software will empower average people to
create an immense wave of new literature, art, and science.
This presentation will aquaint people with the "Digital Tipping Point."
Christian will tell the odd story of how it got started, about the places
that they have been, what they have accomplished so far, and what they
need to finish the project. He'll also discuss how one can use the DTP
video for their own projects, or become part of the DTP crew.
About the Speaker:
Christian Einfeldt is a simple end user who proves daily that any
knucklehead can use FOSS (free and open source software).
He was motivated to move his law practice to FOSS in late 2000 out of a
concern for viruses. When he saw that FOSS represents a chance for
humanity to practice sharing on a massive scale, he became convinced
that he had to do his part to use video and the Internet to give the
world some footage to fuel the conversation about what cyber freedom
means and why it is important. The Digital Tipping Point resulted.
Also, join us in celebrating LUGOD's 9th year of serving the Davis
community. Free refreshments will be provided!
