The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

Presentation:
Creating Accessible Websites
Presented by: Seth Duffey, City of Davis
This presentation will focus on creating websites that accessible
to all users, regardless of physical ability or the way in which they
use the Internet. Topics that will covered: general accessibility
concepts, discuss Section 508 and the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium)'s
WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative), improving accessibility of an
existing website, and designing for accessibility from the start.
Seth Duffey is the webmaster for the City of Davis. He has recently
written an article on creating accessible online maps.
