For those of you who don't know, LUGOD maintains an Internet Relay Chat (IRC)
channel on the "freenode" discussion network. [*]

Simply connect to 'irc.freenode.net' and join the '#lugod' channel.

Some popular IRC clients for Linux include:  IRC II, NAIM, Kopete, X-Chat,
Konversation, KSirc, KVirc, and others.  (Numerous clients exist for Mac and
Windows, as well.)
