  6:30pm - 9:00pm

  315 East 14th St.
  Davis, California 95616

The topic will be:

  Version Control Systems
  presented by: Ken Bloom

Revision control is an aspect of documentation control wherein changes
to documents are identified by incrementing an associated number or
    letter code, called the 'revision.'

Examples of version control software include CVS, BitKeeper and Subversion.

Software developers use version control systems to keep track of
changes throughout the lifetime of a project, but it can be used for
any kind of file: books, drawings, music.

Learn how version control systems such as "CVS" (which is available
for Windows and Mac, as well as Linux) can help you work on the same
file from different computers or locations, share changes with people
you're collaborating with, revert to a version from weeks ago, and more.
