The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Tuesday
  September 7, 2004
  6:30pm - 9:00pm

The meeting will be held at our regular location:

  Davis Public Library
  315 East 14th Street
  Davis, CA 95616

The topic will be:

  Cascading Style Sheets
presented by: Seth Duffey, Sacramento ColdFusion Users Group

CSS is used by both authors and readers of web pages to define
colors, fonts, layout, and other aspects of document presentation.
It is designed primarily to enable the separation of document structure
(written in HTML or a related language) from document presentation
(written in CSS). This separation provides a number of benefits,
including improved content accessibility, greater flexibility and
control in the specification of presentational characteristics, and
reduced complexity of the structural content.

This talk will focus on creating table-less layouts using CSS, and
addressing accessibility with CSS and XHTML.

Seth Duffey is the webmaster for the City of Davis, and co-manager
for the ColdFusion Users Group in Sacramento.
