The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Monday
  November 15, 2004
  6:30pm - 9:00pm


The meeting will be held at our regular location:

  Davis Public Library
  315 East 14th Street
  Davis, CA 95616


The topic will be:

  The History of SourceForge.net
  presented by: Patrick McGovern, Director

    SourceForge.net is the world's largest Open Source software
    development website, with the largest repository of Open Source code
    and applications available on the Internet.  SourceForge.net provides
    free services to Open Source developers.

    Patrick will be discussing the history of SourceForge.net, the
    communities that reside on the site and the applications that reside
    there.  He'll discuss how the site got started, the services they
    provide, and how they've grown from a few projects to having over
    90,000.

    Also: LUGOD officer nominations close; voting begins.
