The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Monday
  June 21, 2004
  6:30pm - 9:00pm


The meeting will be held at our regular location:

  Davis Public Library
  315 East 14th Street
  Davis, CA 95616


The topic will be:

  HDTV HTPC Using Linux
  presented by: Steve Wormley

    "High Definition TV (HDTV) Home Theater PC (HTPC) Using Linux,"
    or "How to turn a Linux-based PC into a HDTV tuner/recorder."

    This presentation will include a demonstration of OTA (Off The Air) HDTV
    reception in Linux using the "pcHDTV" card. [ http://pchdtv.com/ ]
    There will also be a discussion of HDTV formats, decoding requirements,
    software status and some example clips.
