The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

The topic will be:
SSL: Secure Socket Layer
presented by: Tim Stapko and Gene Fodor, Z-World Inc.
The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a commonly-used protocol for
managing the security of a message transmission on the Internet.
(Banking websites and e-commerce sites use it on their "https" servers.)
This talk will include a brief overview of the history and design
philosophies behind SSL. The audience is expected to have familiarity
with basic network programming using TCP/IP.
