The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Tuesday
  December 2nd, 2003
  6:30pm - 9:00pm
  (Doors open at 6:00pm; please try to arrive on-time!)


The meeting will be held at a special location:

  Kemper Hall (aka EUII)
  Room 1131
  UC Davis
  Davis, CA 95616


The topic will be:

  Kid's Software for Linux
  presented by: Bill Kendrick, New Breed Software

    For K-12 schools to successfully switch to Open Source software,
    they need more than operating systems, office suites and web servers...
    they need educational programs and games!  Bill Kendrick, author of
    Tux Paint, TuxMath, and a number of other (non-educational) games for
    Linux, will discuss the state of Open Source kid's gaming and
    'edutainment' software, including KDE's educational software collection,
    Knoppix for Kids, and more.
