The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Tuesday
  April 1st, 2003
  6:30pm - 9:30pm
  (Doors open at 6:00pm; please try to arrive on-time!)


The meeting will be held at our normal location:

  Davis Library
  Blanchard Room
  315 East 14th Street
  Davis, CA 95616


The topic will be:

  Moxi, a Linux-based Media Center
 
  presented by: Guy Sotomayor, Platform Software Architect, Digeo
 
    Digeo's 'Moxi' is a Linux-based media center: 'the first platform that
    delivers on the full promise of Digital Cable.'  With it, you can:
    Pause live TV in every room in the house; Create playlists from music
    on your CDs and your PC, and enjoy them through your stereo;
    Show off digital photos from your couch; Track the score of the
    ball game while watching your favorite sitcom; Share a moment with
    friends and family using videophone; and more.

    Guy manages the system software and build team that is responsible
    for development of Linux OS for an embedded platform and the tools
    to support it.
