The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

The meeting will be held at a our regular location:

The topic will be:

  MySQL Basics
  presented by: Michael Wenk

    Michael will discuss development of database applications using the
    Open Source MySQL database and the Perl and C programming languages.
    MySQL is the world's most popular Open Source database, recognized for
    its speed and reliability.

    Together with other Open Source components -- the Linux operating system,
    Apache webserver, and Perl programming language -- one can use MySQL to
    create powerful database-driven websites (with little to no cost),
    for example.
