About vox-outreach	English (USA)
The vox-outreach mailing list is for all of LUGOD's public outreach efforts. This includes topics such as public Linux demonstrations, Linux classes, setting up public Linux kiosks, and anything else that LUGOD does for the public. This list is an umbrella list for many different topics: kiosks, classes, demo's, farmers market, etc. Use tags in your subject line, like: [kiosk], [demo], [farmer market], [class] to identify the email content. For the sake of those of us who use procmail, let's keep these tags uniform. Please follow this standard for your tags: a. Use all lowercase letters b. Don't use punctuation c. Use singular rather than plural. So use [kiosk] rather than [KIOSK], [kiosk!] or [kiosks]. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the vox-outreach Archives.
Using vox-outreach
To post a message to all the list members, send email to vox-outreach@lists.lugod.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to vox-outreach
Subscribe to vox-outreach by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
